Keep fixture capacity comparable

Record changes in usable display faces, product grouping and reserve-stock relationships. A fixture placed differently may present a different number of useful faces to the browsing route. Use representative product sizes when reviewing display density. A plan drawn with generic units can hide the difference between small blind-box packages and large collectible cases. Include staff movement
Staff need to replenish, retrieve stock, assist shoppers and reach service areas. Draw these movements separately from the intended customer route, then compare where they interact. A plan that looks clear for browsing may create repeated crossings during ordinary operation.
Identify activities that happen while customers are present. The team may choose to schedule some replenishment differently, but that choice should be realistic for the business. Do not solve every conflict by assuming staff will never move stock during opening hours unless the operating plan genuinely supports that assumption.
Ask staff or representative operators to review both options using the same tasks. Their observations can reveal awkward retrieval sequences or unclear service relationships that are difficult to see in a presentation image. Imagine a hypothetical store selling blind boxes near the front, premium figures in enclosed displays and accessories in smaller groups. The team tests a casual browsing visit and a purposeful visit for a known release. In the loop proposal, the owner examines whether the target category can be reached without following every display.
